The Canton Reference 1 Walnut Matt is a powerful high-end loudspeaker that combines advanced acoustic performance with timeless craftsmanship. Engineered using cutting-edge loudspeaker technologies, it represents a refined balance between sonic accuracy and elegant design. The Walnut Matt finish enhances the natural character of the cabinet while emphasizing its sculpted form and premium construction.

Its acoustic performance is driven by newly developed Black Ceramic Tungsten diaphragms used in the midrange and bass drivers. These BCT cones are the result of long-term development and deliver highly controlled, dynamic, and precise sound reproduction. High frequencies are reproduced by a ceramic BC tweeter made from black alumina, providing clean, detailed, and transparent treble response.

The cabinet design is acoustically optimized with seamless transitions between the baffle, side panels, and rear panels. This smooth, sweeping geometry improves dispersion characteristics, enhances structural rigidity, and reduces unwanted resonances. Internally, the enclosure is divided into three carefully tuned chambers, allowing each driver to perform independently under ideal acoustic conditions.

Low-frequency reproduction is handled by three 219 mm woofers working in combination with a redesigned bass guide system, producing deep and stable bass response down to 18 Hz. The 174 mm midrange driver is positioned in the upper section of the cabinet to enhance vocal clarity and spatial realism. All drivers are recessed into a rounded baffle and paired with asymmetric waveguide rings made of POM material to optimize sound dispersion.

The curved multilayer cabinet panels, solid 60 mm baffle, and extensive internal reinforcements ensure controlled dynamics and minimal vibration. Finished in Walnut Matt, the Reference 1 combines natural elegance with technical precision, delivering a balanced and immersive listening experience.
