The Canton Reference 2 Piano Black is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker designed to provide exceptional and consistent sound quality even in large rooms. Smaller than the series flagship, it is ideal for reference-level stereo setups and home theater applications, combining cutting-edge acoustic technology with a striking, elegant design.

The cabinet features a seamless, edge-free construction that improves structural stability, minimizes resonance, and optimizes sound dispersion. Multi-layer laminate panels, internal bracing, and careful damping ensure low-resonance performance. A three-chamber layout allows each driver to operate under ideal acoustic conditions for accurate reproduction across the frequency spectrum.

Low frequencies are handled by two 219 mm BCT woofers, supported by the latest bass guide system, producing stable, powerful bass. A 174 mm midrange driver, positioned near the top of the cabinet, delivers authentic voice and instrument reproduction. The high-frequency range is covered by a 25 mm black alumina ceramic tweeter for detailed and clear treble. All drivers are flush-mounted in a rounded baffle and enhanced with three-dimensional asymmetric waveguide rings (POM) for optimized dispersion.

The crossovers feature epoxy-glass composite construction with 70 µm copper coating, reducing interference and ensuring precise signal distribution. WBT Nextgen terminals with gold-plated copper bridges allow single, bi-wiring, and bi-amping. Integrated room compensation provides fine-level adjustment in 1.5 dB increments for optimal adaptation to any listening environment.

Finished in Piano Black with a high-gloss lacquer, the Reference 2 combines visual sophistication with precise German engineering, delivering a powerful, balanced, and refined listening experience.
