The dbx ZonePRO 1261 is a professional digital signal processor designed to provide comprehensive audio processing, routing, and control for commercial installed sound systems. The processor accommodates multiple audio source types through switchable microphone and line inputs, RCA source inputs, and an S/PDIF digital input. Extensive input processing includes gain adjustment, equalization, selectable paging microphone processing, noise gating, de-essing, automatic gain control, compression, and Advanced Feedback Suppression (AFS™). Its flexible routing engine supports primary source selection, source ducking for paging systems, and priority override functions, ensuring efficient audio distribution throughout multiple zones while maintaining system reliability and speech intelligibility.

Each output includes a complete suite of optimization tools including parametric equalization, bandpass and crossover filters, limiting, delay, and the patented AutoWarmth® technology, developed with JBL to maintain natural low-frequency response at reduced listening levels. The processor also supports wall panel controllers, RS-232 communication, Ethernet networking, remote system management, and a built-in real-time clock for scheduled system automation. Configuration and monitoring are simplified through ZonePRO Designer software, featuring an intuitive interface and guided setup wizard.
