The Ecler DROP6i is a redesigned two-way pendant loudspeaker built for retail, hospitality and corporate spaces where consistent sound matters as much as clean aesthetics. It combines a 6.5 inch woofer with a 1 inch silk dome tweeter in a bass reflex enclosure, extending the effective frequency response to 70 Hz to 20 kHz and reaching a maximum SPL of 109 dB continuous, 115 dB peak, with a coverage angle of up to 135 degrees.

Because the DROP6i works in both low impedance and 70/100V line modes, integrators can set different power levels for different zones of a store or venue from a single loudspeaker model, running gentle background music near the entrance and a stronger presence close to product displays without swapping hardware. The improved bass reflex tuning and acoustic optimisation over the previous generation extend low frequency control and raise system sensitivity for more even coverage across a room.

Installation is designed to be quick even in cluttered ceiling voids: the DROP6i hangs from steel suspension cords with a 5 metre cable, so positioning around beams, lighting and cable runs does not require custom rigging. Its cabinet is molded from fiberglass reinforced ABS for a light but durable build, and the enclosure carries an IP53 rating so it keeps performing through the dust, humidity and constant door traffic typical of retail environments.

The DROP6i is available in black or white finishes with a paintable grille, letting it blend into anything from a minimalist boutique to a bolder industrial retail concept. That combination of updated acoustic performance, straightforward suspension mounting, and finish flexibility makes it a practical pendant loudspeaker for background music and paging across retail, hospitality and corporate installations.
