The JBL AW266 is a high-power, lightweight, 2-way full-range loudspeaker designed for professional applications where durability and performance are critical. It is equipped with a JBL 2262H 300 mm (12 in) Differential Drive® low-frequency driver featuring a 75 mm (3 in) dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap structure, ensuring high efficiency, reduced distortion, and extended low-frequency response.

High-frequency performance is provided by the JBL 2432H compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5 in) exit and a 75 mm (3 in) voice coil, offering precise and controlled high-frequency reproduction. Sound dispersion is managed by a large Progressive Transition™ waveguide that delivers uniform 60° x 60° coverage, ensuring even sound distribution across wide listening areas. The loudspeaker supports both vertical and horizontal installation, allowing flexible placement to suit various system designs.

The enclosure is constructed from hand-laminated multilayer fiberglass with extensive internal bracing to enhance structural rigidity and low-frequency performance. A durable black gelcoat finish provides excellent resistance to moisture, UV exposure, and physical wear. Additional protection is provided by a three-layer stainless steel grille system with open-cell foam and stainless steel mesh backing, safeguarding internal components in demanding environments.

The AW266 includes an integrated 400 W 70/100V transformer and a heavy-duty weather-treated U-type mounting bracket for secure and straightforward installation on flat surfaces or corners.
