The JBL AW266-LS is a high-power, lightweight, 2-way full-range loudspeaker specifically engineered for life safety and emergency communication systems. Designed to meet EN 54-24 compliance standards, it is suitable for installations where intelligibility, reliability, and environmental durability are essential. The loudspeaker features a JBL 2262H 300 mm (12 in) Differential Drive® low-frequency driver with a 75 mm (3 in) dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap design. This configuration ensures high efficiency, excellent power handling, and reduced distortion. High-frequency reproduction is handled by the JBL 2432H compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5 in) exit and a 75 mm (3 in) voice coil, delivering clear and articulate vocal performance critical for emergency messaging.

Sound dispersion is controlled by a large Progressive Transition™ waveguide that provides consistent 60° x 60° coverage, allowing even sound distribution across large areas. The enclosure is constructed from hand-laminated fiberglass with extensive internal bracing to enhance structural strength and acoustic performance. A durable black gelcoat finish offers resistance against moisture, UV exposure, and harsh environmental conditions.

The AW266-LS includes an integrated 400 W 70/100V transformer and a heavy-duty weather-treated U-type mounting bracket, enabling flexible installation in either horizontal or vertical orientation.
