JBL AWC159 15-Inch All-Weather 2-Way Coaxial Loudspeaker System
The JBL AWC159 is a durable, all-weather, coaxial 2-way loudspeaker that combines compact design with full-range sound performance. It is ideal for delivering clear speech and music in challenging environments such as stadiums, racetracks, sports arenas, fairgrounds, skating rinks, water parks, swimming pools, rodeos, themed entertainment venues, and other indoor or outdoor spaces.
Equipped with a 15-inch Kevlar-reinforced woofer and a 3-inch voice coil, the AWC159 produces strong low-frequency output with excellent reliability. Its high-frequency section features a 1.5-inch compression driver with a high-temperature polymer diaphragm and patented design, offering exceptional clarity and detailed audio reproduction.
The speaker maintains a consistent 90° x 90° coverage pattern, ensuring uniform sound distribution across large areas. The advanced passive crossover network provides smooth, natural midrange performance and balanced frequency response. Rated for 500 watts of continuous power with high sensitivity, it can achieve high SPL levels suitable for large spaces. For flexible system integration, the loudspeaker includes a built-in 70V/100V multi-tap transformer or can operate in direct 8-ohm mode.
The AWC159 features a rugged, glass-reinforced ABS enclosure that meets IP56 standards for protection against dust and water. The cabinet surpasses military and ASTM requirements for humidity, salt spray, UV, and temperature resistance. A corrosion-resistant, powder-coated steel grille with layered foam and mesh backing safeguards the drivers while preserving optimal sound projection. Mounting is simple with the included color-matched U-bracket and a secondary safety attachment point for secure installation.
