The JBL AWC159 is a robust, compact, and highly weather-resistant loudspeaker designed to provide full-range sound reproduction in challenging environments. Perfect for speech and music applications, it is ideal for sports arenas, racetracks, stadiums, fairgrounds, rodeos, skating rinks, themed entertainment venues, water parks, swimming pools, and other indoor or outdoor public spaces.

This model features a 15-inch Kevlar-reinforced woofer with a 3-inch voice coil, delivering strong low-frequency output and exceptional durability. The high-frequency section employs a 1.5-inch diaphragm compression driver with a patented high-temperature polymer design, ensuring clarity and reliable performance across extended listening sessions.

The 90° x 90° coverage pattern provides even dispersion over wide areas, while the advanced passive crossover network maintains smooth midrange response and consistent broadband coverage. With a 500-watt continuous power rating and high sensitivity, the AWC159 produces high SPL levels suitable for large venues. A built-in 70V/100V multi-tap transformer or direct 8-ohm operation adds flexibility for a wide variety of audio system configurations.

Constructed from heavily braced, glass-reinforced ABS, the enclosure meets IP56 standards for dust and water resistance and exceeds military and ASTM specifications for humidity, salt, UV, and temperature durability. The corrosion-resistant, powder-coated steel grille with layered foam and mesh backing protects the drivers while ensuring optimal sound projection. The loudspeaker includes a U-bracket for secure mounting, along with a secondary safety attachment point for enhanced installation safety.
