JBL CBT 50LA-LS black column loudspeaker
The JBL CBT 50LA-LS black column loudspeaker utilizes Constant Beamwidth Technology™ to deliver consistent vertical coverage, employing analog delay beamforming and amplitude tapering to avoid narrow vertical beaming and out-of-coverage lobing typical of traditional passive column speakers. This model is EN54-24 certified, making it suitable for life safety use in emergency paging and alarm systems.
Featuring eight 50 mm (2 in) full-range drivers, the CBT 50LA-LS offers wide horizontal coverage while maintaining controlled vertical dispersion. Switchable voicing enables either a flat music response or a mid-range presence boost for speech, ensuring adaptable performance in lecture halls, conference rooms, retail areas, transit spaces, and other professional or life safety environments.
The speaker includes a built-in 70V/100V transformer and supports direct 8-ohm operation. Dynamic SonicGuard™ overload protection ensures reliable, long-term performance. The black fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet with painted aluminum grille is durable and suitable for indoor and semi-exposed outdoor applications, with IP55 rating and optional MTC-PC2 panel cover. Included swivel (pan)/tilt wall bracket and ten M6 back panel insert points allow flexible mounting or suspension configurations.
