JBL CBT 50LA-LS column loudspeaker
The JBL CBT 50LA-LS column loudspeaker features Constant Beamwidth Technology™ for consistent vertical coverage, using analog delay beamforming and amplitude tapering to prevent narrow beaming and out-of-coverage lobing common to standard passive column speakers. This model is EN54-24 certified, making it suitable for life safety applications such as emergency paging and alarm signaling.
Equipped with eight 50 mm (2 in) full-range drivers, the CBT 50LA-LS provides wide horizontal dispersion with controlled vertical coverage. Switchable voicing allows the speaker to deliver a flat response for music or a mid-range presence boost for speech, offering versatile performance across diverse environments including lecture halls, conference rooms, transit spaces, retail areas, and other professional or life safety audio installations.
The speaker features a built-in 70V/100V transformer and supports direct 8-ohm operation. Dynamic SonicGuard™ overload protection ensures reliable operation over time. The fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet with painted aluminum grille is durable, while IP55 rating and optional MTC-PC2 panel cover allow use in indoor and semi-exposed outdoor conditions. The included swivel (pan)/tilt wall bracket and ten M6 insert points on the back panel provide flexible mounting or suspension options.
