JBL Control 12C/T 76 mm (3″) Full-Range Compact Ceiling Speaker
The JBL Control 12C/T is a compact in-ceiling loudspeaker engineered for high-quality background or foreground music applications. Featuring a 76 mm (3 in) full-range driver with polypropylene cone, butyl rubber surround, Kapton™ voice coil former, and high-temperature aluminum coupling ring, it delivers clear, low-distortion sound across a wide 130° conical coverage. Its integrated zinc-plated steel backcan and ABS baffle with UL94-V0 and UL94-5VB flame rating ensure safety and plenum compatibility. The speaker supports combined 70V/100V multi-tap transformer operation or low-impedance 8Ω direct input, providing flexible deployment for diverse audio systems. The shallow design allows quick, repeatable installation in ceilings up to 35 mm (1.4 in) thick using the included dog-ears, while optional thick-ceiling accessories extend mounting up to 55 mm (2.2 in).
The Control 12C/T is delivered with a full-face grille, C-ring support plate, tile rails, paint shield, cutout template, and removable locking 4-pin connector for fast and secure installation. Its high-quality components, wide frequency response, and low distortion make it ideal for professional offices, retail, and hospitality environments where premium sound and reliability are essential.
