Control 16C-VA ceiling loudspeaker
Control 16C-VA is a full-range, EN54-24 compliant ceiling loudspeaker engineered for reliable life safety and background or foreground audio applications. It features a two-way coaxial design built around a 165 mm (6.5 inch) high-output cone driver and a 19 mm soft-dome liquid-cooled tweeter, ensuring clear speech intelligibility and balanced musical reproduction.
The loudspeaker is housed in a vented, paintable baffle constructed from UV-resistant materials rated UL94-V0 and UL94-5VB for fire safety. An integrated steel backcan simplifies installation while supporting plenum-rated use, making the system suitable for regulated commercial and public environments. Its coaxial configuration provides consistent tonal balance for listeners positioned both on-axis and off-axis.
Control 16C-VA supports combined low-impedance and 70V/100V distributed audio systems, offering flexibility for different system architectures. With high sensitivity and wide 110-degree coverage, the speaker delivers uniform sound levels across medium to high-volume spaces. This makes it suitable for applications such as retail stores, airports, hotels, lounges, courtrooms, convention centers, educational facilities, and paging or background music systems.
Designed specifically for life safety installations, the speaker meets EN54-24 requirements, including certified sensitivity and maximum SPL measurements at defined distances. Durable internal components, a thermal fuse, and flame-rated materials further enhance operational reliability.
