The Control 26C is a high-performance in-ceiling loudspeaker engineered to deliver strong sound output with clarity and consistency across wide coverage areas. It is designed for commercial applications that require higher sound levels, making it suitable for background and foreground music as well as paging systems.

This loudspeaker features a coaxial driver configuration, combining a 165 mm (6.5 inch) low-frequency woofer with a butyl rubber surround and a 19 mm (¾ inch) titanium-coated, diffraction-loaded high-frequency tweeter. This design ensures smooth frequency response, low distortion, and clear vocal and music reproduction even at elevated sound levels.

Control 26C incorporates JBL’s proprietary SonicGuard™ overload protection technology, which safeguards the high-frequency driver from excessive power levels. This allows the system to operate at higher volumes while maintaining long-term reliability and consistent performance.

The speaker is supplied as a complete installation package, including a formed steel backcan, grille, and tile rails. This all-in-one configuration simplifies installation, reduces setup time, and supports use in air-handling (plenum) spaces. The fire-rated baffle and durable construction further enhance its suitability for commercial and public environments.
