The Control 28-1 High Output Indoor/Outdoor Background/Foreground Speaker is designed to deliver rich sonic performance, wide coverage, and reliable operation in both indoor and outdoor environments. Built as a two-way 8-inch loudspeaker, it combines a woven fiberglass cone woofer with a 1-inch PEI diaphragm tweeter featuring fluid cooling for consistent high-frequency performance and long-term reliability. This combination produces a high-fidelity sound character with a broad frequency response of 45 Hz to 20 kHz, making it suitable for both foreground and background music as well as paging applications.

Engineered for versatility, the Control 28-1 provides wide and consistent 100° x 100° coverage, ensuring uniform sound distribution across large areas. It supports 120 Watts power handling in direct 8-ohm mode with 240 Watts program power and includes a built-in 60 Watt multi-tap transformer for 70V/100V distributed audio systems. The contemporary enclosure design integrates seamlessly into a wide range of architectural environments, while the weather-resistant enclosure and transducers ensure dependable performance in demanding conditions.

Installation flexibility is enhanced by the built-in InvisiBall® mounting system and optional U-bracket, allowing precise positioning and secure mounting.
