The JBL SUB18 is the most powerful studio subwoofer in JBL’s professional monitoring lineup, engineered for applications requiring exceptionally high continuous output and ultra-deep low-frequency extension. Designed for demanding environments such as dance music production and cinema post-production, the SUB18 combines precision, headroom, and extreme bass performance in a robust enclosure.

With in-room response extending below 18 Hz and peak output reaching 137 dB SPL, the SUB18 delivers authoritative low-end reproduction while maintaining clarity and accuracy. At the core of the system is a JBL 2269H 18-inch (457 mm) low-frequency driver featuring dual 4-inch voice coils, dual neodymium magnets, and Differential Drive® Direct Cooled™ technology. This advanced driver design ensures reduced power compression, improved thermal management, and sustained high-output performance.

The SUB18 is designed to integrate seamlessly with JBL’s M2 Master Reference Monitor system, enabling significantly greater system output and enhanced full-range monitoring capability. For optimal performance, it is recommended for use with Crown iTech HD power amplifiers, with dedicated presets available for M2 integration.

Constructed from 18 mm 11-ply Baltic birch plywood and finished in durable black lacquer, the enclosure provides structural rigidity and long-term reliability. With high power handling capability and professional connectivity via push terminals, the SUB18 is built for studio environments that demand uncompromising bass performance.
