The console provides 40 mono input channels and four stereo input channels, delivering ample connectivity for large-scale productions. Every mono channel is equipped with Soundcraft’s acclaimed GB30 microphone preamplifier and GB30 four-band equalizer, designed by Soundcraft co-founder Graham Blyth. These low-noise preamps and precise equalizers provide excellent headroom, detailed tonal control, and consistent audio quality across every input. Direct outputs on each mono channel also enable simultaneous multitrack recording for live performances and production workflows.

Designed for maximum operational flexibility, the GB4 RW5693SM features dual-mode functionality that allows users to configure the console as either a front-of-house or monitor mixer with the touch of a button by assigning auxiliary sends or subgroup outputs to the linear faders. The console incorporates seven buses consisting of four subgroup buses and left, right, and center main outputs, along with eight auxiliary sends that support flexible pre- and post-fader operation for monitors, effects processors, and external signal distribution.

Additional professional features include four mute groups for efficient scene management, a 7×4 matrix for creating independent output mixes, integrated LED output indicators with detailed output metering, talkback functionality, and an internal power supply with support for an external backup PSU.
