The JBL AM5212/64 is a medium-power, lightweight, 12-inch two-way full-range loudspeaker designed for professional audio installations. Origin of country mexico, this black-finished model belongs to JBL’s AE Application Engineered Series, making it ideal for performing arts venues, auditoriums, houses of worship, live clubs, sports arenas, and themed entertainment locations.
It features a 300 mm (12-inch) JBL 262H-1 Differential Drive® low-frequency driver with dual 50.8 mm (2-inch) voice coils and dual magnetic gaps, delivering powerful, low-distortion bass. High frequencies are produced by a JBL 2408H-1 compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5-inch) exit and 38 mm (1.5-inch) voice coil, providing clear and detailed treble reproduction.
The large-format PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide ensures 60° x 60° coverage and is rotatable for either vertical or horizontal cabinet placement. High-slope passive crossovers reduce band overlap and improve phase response, while well-controlled off-axis performance ensures excellent arrayability in complex setups.
The trapezoidal cabinet is constructed from 16 mm exterior-grade birch plywood with 15-degree side angles for acoustic performance and durability. Fifteen M10 threaded suspension points allow versatile mounting options, with compatibility for the optional U-bracket model MTU-3.
