JBL Intellivox DS115 Active Column Loudspeaker

The JBL Intellivox DS115 Active Column Loudspeaker is the smallest model in the Intellivox DDS range, designed primarily as a fill system in larger Intellivox installations. It delivers high-frequency coverage in off-axis or shadowed areas while maintaining even sound pressure over audiences up to 15 meters. The system includes six custom 4-inch loudspeakers and two dome tweeters powered by an eight-channel class-D amplifier with a sophisticated switched-mode power supply, ensuring reliable operation for years.

The DS115 provides remarkable directivity with precise vertical beam shaping using DDS Technology and wide horizontal coverage. Its compact design allows easy and unobtrusive integration into architecturally sensitive environments. The unit supports advanced surveillance functions to meet the stringent requirements of Voice Alarm life safety applications. Control is provided through JBL’s proprietary WinControl software, enabling user-friendly management of DDS beam files, audio processing, and surveillance functions.

With extended high-frequency response up to 20 kHz, the DS115 is also suitable for music applications and can operate as a full-range system when combined with a JBL active subwoofer. Additional features include dual line inputs, 32-bit floating point DSP, eight-band parametric EQ, user-definable presets, automatic volume control via built-in ambient microphone, and network readiness. The loudspeaker is versatile, compact, and engineered for both high-quality speech and music reproduction in professional AV environments such as boardrooms, press rooms, hotels, and mobile applications.
