JBL Intellivox DS115 Active Column Loudspeaker

The JBL Intellivox DS115 Active Column Loudspeaker is the smallest member of the Intellivox DDS range, designed primarily as a fill system in larger Intellivox installations. It provides high-frequency coverage in off-axis or shadowed areas, maintaining even sound pressure over audiences up to 15 meters. Its six custom 4-inch loudspeakers and two dome tweeters are powered by an eight-channel class-D amplifier with a sophisticated switched-mode power supply, ensuring reliable long-term operation.

With remarkable directivity and advanced beam shaping (DDS Technology), the DS115 offers precise vertical control and wide horizontal coverage. It supports life safety applications with an extensive set of surveillance functions and can be controlled via JBL’s proprietary WinControl software, allowing user-friendly management of DDS beam files, audio processing, and surveillance features.

Compact and unobtrusive, the DS115 integrates easily into architecturally sensitive spaces, while its extended high-frequency response up to 20 kHz makes it suitable for music applications or full-range operation when paired with a JBL active subwoofer system. The loudspeaker is network-ready, supports firmware upgrades, and offers integral surveillance and simulation compatibility with DDA, Catt-Acoustic, Odeon, and EASE4.3 software.
