JBL VLA-C265 Two-Way Full Range Loudspeaker
The JBL VLA-C265 Two-Way Full Range Loudspeaker is a compact line array element engineered specifically for permanent installation environments requiring consistent coverage, high output capability, and long-term durability. Built with JBL’s proven transducer technology, this system combines lightweight construction with advanced acoustic performance to support fixed venue sound reinforcement applications.
The low-frequency section incorporates two 2261FF 10-inch Differential Drive drivers, each equipped with dual 3-inch voice coils and neodymium magnet structures. This configuration reduces overall system weight while improving thermal efficiency, increasing power handling, and minimizing distortion. For high frequencies, the horn-loaded section integrates three 2415K D2 dual diaphragm, dual voice coil compression drivers featuring 1.5-inch annular diaphragms and neodymium motors. This design ensures high sensitivity, controlled dispersion, and clear, detailed high-frequency reproduction.
The enclosure is manufactured from reinforced fiberglass with a durable gelcoat finish and internal 18 mm birch plywood bracing for structural stability. A rugged grille system made of zinc-plated, powder-coated 14-gauge perforated steel includes acoustically transparent backing, hydrophobic mesh, and a waterproof rail system, enabling IP55-rated protection against dust and water exposure.
Inter-cabinet angles are selected during array assembly, allowing adaptable line array configurations. The system can operate in bi-amplified mode for maximum sound pressure levels or in passive mode to reduce amplifier channel requirements. With 65° horizontal coverage and compatibility with Crown DCi amplifiers featuring onboard DSP, the JBL VLA-C265 provides controlled performance and installation flexibility.
