JBL VLA-C265 Two-Way Full Range Loudspeaker
The JBL VLA-C265 Two-Way Full Range Loudspeaker is a compact line array module optimized for permanent installation applications requiring high output, controlled coverage, and environmental durability. Designed using proven JBL technology components, this system combines advanced transducer engineering with a rugged enclosure and comprehensive rigging system for scalable array configurations.
The low-frequency section utilizes dual 2261FF 10-inch Differential Drive drivers, each incorporating dual 3-inch voice coils and neodymium motor structures. This design reduces weight while increasing power handling, lowering distortion, and extending low-frequency performance. The high-frequency section is horn-loaded for maximum sensitivity and precise pattern control, featuring three 2415K D2 dual diaphragm, dual voice coil compression drivers with 1.5-inch annular diaphragms and neodymium motors, delivering clear and detailed high-frequency response.
The enclosure is constructed from multi-layer reinforced fiberglass with steel end panels and internal 18 mm birch plywood bracing for structural integrity. The grille system includes zinc-plated, powder-coated 14-gauge perforated steel, acoustically transparent backing, hydrophobic mesh, and a waterproof rail system, achieving IP55 environmental protection against dust and water jets.
Inter-enclosure angles are selectable during assembly, enabling flexible array configuration. The system supports both bi-amplified operation for maximum SPL and passive configuration for reduced amplification requirements. With 65° horizontal coverage and compatibility with Crown DCi amplifiers featuring onboard DSP, the JBL VLA-C265 provides controlled performance and installation versatility for fixed venue sound reinforcement systems.
