The Allen & Heath DT168 is a professional 96kHz Dante and AES67 audio expander designed to add high-quality remote I/O connectivity to Allen & Heath digital mixing and audio matrix systems. Compatible with Dante-enabled dLive, Avantis, SQ, Qu, and AHM platforms, the DT168 provides a reliable and scalable solution for live sound, installed audio, educational facilities, houses of worship, theatres, and large venue applications.
The unit features 16 premium microphone preamps and 8 balanced XLR line outputs housed within a durable stagebox enclosure. Each input provides up to +60 dB of gain, individually selectable phantom power, and a -20 dB pad, allowing seamless connection of microphones, instruments, and line-level sources. Integrated 32-bit / 96kHz converters ensure exceptional audio quality, preserving signal integrity across Dante networks.
Dual locking EtherCon ports support both redundant and switched network configurations. This allows operation with primary and secondary Dante networks for maximum reliability or daisy-chain deployment for flexible system expansion. The DT168 also supports AES67 interoperability and Dante Domain Manager environments, enabling integration into advanced networked audio infrastructures.
Designed for portable and touring applications, the DT168 features a robust enclosure with protective rubber bumpers and an integrated carry handle. The unit can be placed directly on stage or installed in a standard 19-inch rack using an optional rackmount kit. Gain, phantom power, and pad settings can be controlled directly from compatible Allen & Heath mixers or through DT Preamp Control software, making the DT168 a powerful and versatile remote audio solution for modern Dante networks.
