The Allen & Heath ZED-24 is a compact yet highly capable analogue mixer designed for live sound reinforcement, project studios, houses of worship, and professional audio installations. Offering a total of 24 input channels, including sixteen mono channels and four stereo channels, the mixer provides exceptional flexibility and comprehensive connectivity for demanding audio environments.
The sixteen mono channels are equipped with premium DuoPre microphone preamps that deliver high headroom, low-noise performance, and a wide gain range for microphones and line-level sources. Each mono channel features a responsive 3-band equalizer with sweepable midrange frequencies, allowing precise tonal shaping and detailed control of individual instruments and vocals. Four stereo channels with dedicated 2-band EQ provide additional connectivity for keyboards, synthesizers, media players, and external processors.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the ZED-24 incorporates four independent auxiliary sends for monitor mixes and external effects processing. Insert points on every mono channel and the stereo bus allow seamless integration with outboard dynamics processors, equalizers, and signal processors. Long-throw 100 mm faders, mute functions, and PFL monitoring provide a smooth and intuitive mixing experience.
The integrated USB audio interface enables direct stereo recording and playback with Mac and Windows computers, making the mixer equally suitable for live recording and production tasks. Additional connectivity includes balanced XLR main outputs, mono outputs, alternate monitor outputs, dual headphone connections, and stereo RCA inputs and outputs.
