BSS Soundweb London BLU-GPX general purpose I/O expander (EU)

The Soundweb London BLU-GPX is a network-controlled GPIO expander which facilitates the cost-effective addition of Control Inputs, Logic Outputs, and Relays to systems requiring extra analog control and interfacing capability beyond what is available on a standard Soundweb London chassis.

The BLU-GPX has 36 Control Inputs, which, as with the Control Inputs found on other Soundweb London devices, can be connected to contact closures for controlling binary parameters, resistor ladders for controlling multi-state parameters, or potentiometers for controlling continuous parameters such as volume. This makes it a flexible bridge between physical switches, sensors, and controls and the digital Soundweb London control environment.

The BLU-GPX also provides 23 Logic Outputs, which can be connected directly to voltage-controlled electrical components such as LEDs and relays, enabling the system to drive status indicators, trigger external equipment, or activate relay-controlled devices as part of a programmed control sequence. Two PoE-enabled Ethernet ports provide both communications and primary power, with a 12VDC connector available for secondary power redundancy.

The unit is EN 54-16 compliant, making it suitable for use within life safety and emergency voice evacuation systems, and it includes a RS-232 port for serial device compatibility, a bank of user-configurable front panel LEDs, a user-configurable front panel LCD, and a user-configurable piezo buzzer for audible indication, along with locate functionality for straightforward commissioning.
