BSS Soundweb London BLU-USB 8×8 USB audio to BLU link interface (EU)

The Soundweb London BLU-USB allows audio from a PC or Mac to be placed directly onto the BLU link audio bus, enabling straightforward implementation of softphone conferencing systems or direct audio playback to and from a connected computer. This removes the need for a separate audio interface and analog cabling to bridge a computer into an installed sound system.

With an 8×8 USB audio channel count, the BLU-USB provides enough capacity for multi-channel playback, recording, and softphone conferencing scenarios, all routed through the same digital audio bus used by the rest of the Soundweb London installation. This keeps signal quality high and avoids unnecessary analog-to-digital conversion stages.

The interface is class-compliant with standard USB audio drivers on supported Windows and macOS systems, simplifying deployment in corporate AV rooms, courtrooms, and conferencing spaces where a PC or Mac needs to participate directly in the room’s audio system, whether for video conferencing software, background music playback, or recording of room audio.

Configuration of the BLU-USB’s BLU link routing is performed through HiQnet Audio Architect, allowing its channels to be freely assigned within the wider 256-channel digital audio bus alongside microphones, playback sources, and other networked devices in the installation.
