The Ecler VEO-SPS42 is an 18Gbps HDMI 1×4 splitter that both distributes and extends an HDMI source signal to four remote displays over standard CAT cabling, supporting resolutions up to 4K 60Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling as specified in the HDMI 2.0b standard. Unlike a simple local splitter, its CAT outputs let displays be positioned well beyond the reach of a standard HDMI cable run.

Transmission distance depends on the resolution in use, reaching up to 35 metres for 4K/60Hz content, 50 metres for 4K/30Hz, or 70 metres for Full HD, all over a single Cat 5e or higher cable per output, keeping cable runs simple even for longer distances between the source and each display.

The splitter includes an HDMI loop output alongside its CAT-extended outputs, one-way IR control signal pass-through so remote control commands can reach source equipment from the display end, stereo unbalanced audio extraction on a Euroblock connector, and EDID management to ensure reliable handshake between the source and connected displays.

RS-232 serial control rounds out the feature set, giving integrators a way to include the VEO-SPS44 in automated control systems. This combination of distribution, extension and control makes the VEO-SPS44 a versatile choice for meeting rooms, retail displays and classrooms needing a 4K source shown on four screens at extended distances.
