The dbx ZonePRO 640m is a professional digital signal processor designed to provide flexible signal routing, advanced DSP processing, and centralized system control for commercial audio installations. Featuring a fixed architecture with six inputs and four outputs, the processor delivers a streamlined solution for hospitality venues, retail stores, educational facilities, conference rooms, and other installed sound environments requiring reliable multi-zone audio management. Its pre-configured architecture simplifies installation while offering extensive processing capabilities for professional system optimization.
The processor features four balanced microphone/line inputs and two mono-summed RCA input pairs, allowing integration with both professional microphones and consumer audio sources. Independent microphone gain adjustment is available for each input channel, while two configurable input insert positions and one configurable output insert position provide flexible channel-specific processing. Every output incorporates the patented AutoWarmth® technology, which preserves natural low-frequency response at reduced listening levels to maintain consistent audio quality across all operating conditions.
For expanded installations, the integrated Link Bus enables duplication of the first six audio channels to another compatible ZonePRO processor, allowing additional output zones without complex wiring. The front panel provides comprehensive signal metering, an informative LCD display, and programmable user controls for convenient local operation. Optional Zone Controllers, Ethernet networking, RS-232 communication, and third-party control system compatibility further extend system flexibility. Configuration and monitoring are simplified using ZonePRO Designer software with its guided Configuration Wizard for quick setup and efficient management. With high-quality dbx Type IV™ digital conversion, low distortion, and wide dynamic range, the dbx ZonePRO 640m delivers a complete commercial audio processing solution for professional installed sound systems.
