The Allen & Heath AHM-16 is a powerful audio matrix processor designed for professional sound management, distribution, paging, conferencing, and speaker processing applications. At the heart of the system is a 16×16 processing matrix powered by a 96kHz FPGA core that provides ultra-low latency performance and reliable audio processing. The unit includes 8 microphone/line inputs and 8 line outputs, while an expansion I/O port supports audio networking with capacities up to 128×128 channels. Compatibility with Dante and SLink option cards enables seamless integration into larger networked audio infrastructures.

The AHM-16 supports an extensive ecosystem of remote audio expanders, controllers, interfaces, software, and mobile applications. Integration options include GPIO, TCP/IP protocols, and support for third-party control platforms such as Crestron, AMX, and Extron. Users can manage system configuration through Mac and Windows System Manager software or develop customized interfaces using the Custom Control app.

Advanced sound management tools include automatic microphone mixing, ambient noise compensation, priority ducking, speaker processing, crossover filtering, delay management, limiting, and parametric equalization. Additional features such as integrated stereo playback, event scheduling, user profile management, and embedded recall functionality enhance operational flexibility.
