The JBL Control 50S/T is a professional-grade surface-mount subwoofer designed to deliver powerful, controlled low-frequency performance in commercial and installed audio environments. Engineered for use in subwoofer-satellite systems, it provides strong bass reinforcement while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for wall-mounted applications where space efficiency and clean aesthetics are required.
At the heart of the system is a high-output 200 mm (8 inch) long-excursion low-frequency driver built for extended bass response and high durability. The driver features a high-mass cone structure for improved low-end depth, a 38 mm (1.5 inch) four-layer copper voice coil for enhanced motor strength, and a vented aluminum former that improves transient accuracy and thermal stability. A rubber half-roll surround ensures controlled cone movement and long-term reliability under continuous operation.
The Control 50S/T supports both low-impedance operation and selectable 70V/100V distributed audio systems, allowing seamless integration into a wide range of commercial sound designs. It is engineered to operate with either two or four satellite speakers per system, offering flexible configuration options for different coverage areas and acoustic requirements.
With a low-frequency extension reaching down to 32 Hz, the subwoofer delivers tight, consistent bass reproduction for music playback, multimedia systems, and background or foreground audio applications. The reinforced enclosure construction, combining plywood, MDF, and metal components, provides structural rigidity and acoustic stability for long-term performance.
The system includes professional surface-mount hardware, secure electrical connectivity, and durable protective grilles for demanding installations. Available in black or white finishes, the Control 50S/T integrates easily into modern architectural spaces while maintaining strong acoustic output. The product is manufactured in China.
