The JBL Intellivox DSX380 HD Active Column Loudspeaker is designed for high-performance audio in challenging acoustic environments. Capable of providing a constant sound pressure level over distances up to 45 meters, this system can extend even further in less demanding acoustic conditions. It features sixteen custom-designed 4” loudspeakers and four discretely controlled 1” horn-loaded dome tweeters, powered by a sixteen-channel class-D amplifier and a sophisticated switched-mode power supply, ensuring years of reliable operation.

The individually driven horn-loaded dome tweeters provide superior high-frequency vertical beam control while enhancing horizontal coverage and overall sound quality for speech and music applications. The DSX380 HD integrates a comprehensive set of surveillance functions to meet stringent Voice Alarm (life safety) requirements. JBL’s WinControl software allows intuitive management of beam steering parameters, audio processing, presets, and surveillance features. Its compact array design makes the DSX380 HD suitable for unobtrusive installation in architecturally sensitive spaces. Low-frequency performance can be further extended using a JBL subwoofer system.

Equipped with DDS Technology for vertical beam shaping, wide horizontal dispersion, 32-bit floating point DSP, dual line inputs, volume control, delay of up to 20 seconds, eight-band parametric EQ, and eight user-definable password-protected presets, the DSX380 HD provides flexible control. Additional features include automatic volume control via built-in ambient mic, network readiness, upgradeable firmware, integral surveillance, and simulation via DDA, Catt-Acoustic, Odeon, and EASE4.3.

Applications include transport hubs, places of worship, lecture halls, theatres, conference facilities, atriums, and museums. Optional accessories include external ambient noise and temperature sensors, input section variations, a full range of mounting accessories, and color matching service.
