The Soundcraft Vi1000 is the most compact member of the Vi Series digital console family, measuring roughly 86 x 81 cm while retaining the same processing power and workflow found in its larger Vi2000 and Vi3000 siblings. It is aimed at live touring, installed sound, and corporate AV applications where a highly compact but powerful console is required.

At the heart of the Vi1000 is Soundcraft’s SpiderCore, an integral DSP and I/O engine based on Studer technology that delivers 40-bit floating point processing directly within the control surface, without a separate rack-mounted engine. The console provides 96 input channels with 24 mono/stereo mix busses plus LRC master busses, controlled through 8 input and 8 output faders for streamlined handling of complex mixes.

Soundcraft’s Vistonics II ‘knobs-on-glass’ interface combines physical controls with touch-sensitive screens for intuitive access to channel processing, while FaderGlow illuminates fader tracks in colors tied to their assigned function, whether that’s matrix outputs, VCA groups, sends on faders, or graphic EQ. This shared electronics and mechanical platform with the larger Vi consoles gives the Vi1000 proven road-worthy reliability.

The Vi1000 can also serve as an additional remote-controller surface for larger Vi consoles using the Mirroring feature, adding flexibility for productions running multiple control positions. Combined with BSS Dynamic EQ and extensive I/O options, the Vi1000 is well suited to conferencing, corporate AV, and touring applications that need Vi-level performance in the smallest available footprint.
