The JBL AC16 is an ultra-compact, high-output 2-way loudspeaker designed for professional fixed-installation applications. Manufactured in Mexico, it is part of JBL’s AE Compact family within the renowned AE Series, delivering a balance of sonic clarity, precise coverage, and installation flexibility in a space-efficient enclosure. The AC16 is engineered to meet the needs of both system designers and performers who require high-fidelity audio in compact form factors.

This model features a 165 mm (6.5-inch) low-frequency transducer paired with a 1-inch exit compression driver, providing clear midrange and detailed high-frequency reproduction. The included PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide ensures consistent 90° x 90° coverage, making the system suitable for focused listening areas and evenly distributed sound throughout performance spaces. Its passive crossover design allows for straightforward integration into a wide range of audio systems.

The enclosure is constructed from a combination of 12 mm and 15 mm exterior-grade multi-ply hardwood plywood, offering durability and structural reliability while remaining lightweight. The white finish provides a clean and professional appearance, ideal for venues where aesthetic integration is important. Dual Neutrik NL4 connectors and screw terminals offer secure and versatile connection options.

The AC16 supports up to 320 W program power, ensuring reliable output for demanding audio applications. Multiple attachment points allow for optional U-bracket mounting, third-party OmniMount® bracket compatibility, or stand mount use, providing flexibility for wall, ceiling, or floor installations.
