The JBL AM5212/64 is a medium-power, lightweight, 12-inch two-way full-range loudspeaker designed for professional audio applications. Origin of country mexico, this white-finished model is part of JBL’s AE Application Engineered Series, making it ideal for performing arts facilities, auditoriums, houses of worship, live clubs, sports venues, and themed entertainment spaces.
It incorporates a 300 mm (12-inch) JBL 262H-1 Differential Drive® low-frequency driver with a dual 50.8 mm (2-inch) voice coil and dual magnetic gap for powerful, low-distortion bass. High frequencies are delivered by a JBL 2408H-1 compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5-inch) exit and 38 mm (1.5-inch) voice coil, producing clear and detailed treble.
The large-format PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide provides 60° x 60° coverage and is rotatable for use in either vertical or horizontal orientation. High-slope passive networks minimize band overlap, enhance phase response, and maintain consistent off-axis performance, improving arrayability in complex installations.
The trapezoidal cabinet is constructed from 16 mm exterior-grade birch plywood with 15-degree side angles for optimal acoustic performance and durability. Fifteen M10 threaded suspension points provide versatile mounting options, with compatibility for optional U-bracket model MTU-3.
