JBL AM5215/66 15-inch 2-Way Loudspeaker with 60° x 60° Rotatable Horn is a medium-power, full-range loudspeaker system engineered for professional sound reinforcement. It is built around the JBL Differential Drive® 265H-1 low-frequency driver, featuring a 380 mm (15 in) cone with a 50.8 mm (2 in) dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap for high efficiency, reduced weight, and strong low-frequency performance. High frequencies are handled by the JBL 2408H-1 compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5 in) exit and 38 mm (1.5 in) voice coil, delivering clear and articulate high-frequency reproduction.
The large-format PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide provides accurate pattern control with a 60° x 60° coverage, ensuring even sound distribution and low distortion across the listening area. The rotatable waveguide allows the loudspeaker to be used in either vertical or horizontal orientation, making it suitable for a wide range of installations including auditoriums, performing arts facilities, worship venues, live clubs, sports facilities, and themed entertainment environments.
High-slope passive crossover networks minimize band overlap and contribute to smooth frequency response, while the well-controlled off-axis performance enhances arrayability in multi-speaker systems. The enclosure is constructed from exterior-grade birch plywood with trapezoidal geometry and integrated suspension points for flexible rigging. Supporting both Bi-Amp and passive modes with FIR tuning, the JBL AM5215/66 delivers consistent coverage, accurate phase response, and reliable sound quality in demanding professional applications.
