JBL CBT 50LA-1 white column loudspeaker
The JBL CBT 50LA-1 white column loudspeaker features Constant Beamwidth Technology™ for precise and uniform vertical coverage. Using analog delay beam-forming and amplitude tapering, it avoids the narrow vertical beaming and out-of-coverage lobing seen in conventional passive column speakers. This ensures intelligible and balanced sound across the entire listening area for speech or music applications.
Equipped with eight 50 mm (2 in) full-range drivers, the CBT 50LA-1 provides wide horizontal coverage with controlled vertical dispersion, making it ideal for lecture halls, conference rooms, retail spaces, houses of worship, and other professional audio installations. Switchable voicing allows selection between flat music response or mid-range presence for speech, offering adaptable performance for different applications.
The speaker includes a built-in 70V/100V transformer while supporting direct 8-ohm operation. Dynamic SonicGuard™ protection prevents overload and extends the system’s reliability. The white fiberglass-reinforced ABS cabinet with painted aluminum grille is durable, while the IP55 rating and optional protective covers allow safe indoor and semi-exposed outdoor use. Included swivel (pan)/tilt wall bracket and ten M6 back panel insert points enable versatile mounting or suspension options.
