The JBL Intellivox DS430 Active Column Loudspeaker is engineered to provide exceptional speech intelligibility and consistent sound pressure over distances up to 50 meters. Its extended array length allows superior low-frequency control, making it highly suitable for large, reverberant environments. The system features seventeen custom-designed 4-inch full-range loudspeakers arranged according to JBL’s patented algorithm, driven by a sixteen-channel class-D amplifier with a sophisticated switched-mode power supply, ensuring reliable long-term operation.

The DS430 integrates comprehensive surveillance functions to meet stringent Voice Alarm (life safety) standards. Users can control beam steering parameters, audio processing, presets, and surveillance functions via JBL’s proprietary WinControl software. Its compact and unobtrusive design allows installation even in architecturally sensitive environments, while the low-frequency response can be further extended using a JBL subwoofer for full-range performance.

Equipped with vertical beam shaping through DDS Technology, wide horizontal dispersion, 32-bit floating point DSP, dual line inputs, volume control, delay, eight-band parametric EQ, and eight user-definable, password-protected presets, the DS430 ensures precise and reliable sound reinforcement. Additional features include automatic volume control via a built-in ambient microphone, network readiness, upgradeable firmware, and simulation compatibility with DDA, Catt-Acoustic, Odeon, and EASE4.3.
