The Allen & Heath SQ-Rack is a professional 48-channel digital mixer designed specifically for live sound, fixed installations, broadcast environments, touring systems, and in-ear monitoring applications. Built around Allen & Heath’s acclaimed 96kHz XCVI FPGA processing engine, the SQ-Rack delivers exceptional audio quality, ultra-low latency performance of less than 0.7ms, and extensive processing power within a compact 4U rack-mountable chassis.

Despite its faderless design, the SQ-Rack provides comprehensive control through its integrated touchscreen interface, customizable control screens, eight assignable SoftKeys, and four assignable Soft Rotaries. Remote operation is supported through SQ MixPad, SQ-Control, and SQ4You applications, allowing users to manage mixing functions from virtually anywhere within a venue.

The mixer features 16 high-quality microphone preamps, multiple stereo line inputs, extensive output connectivity, and integrated SLink technology for system expansion. Users can expand the mixer to accommodate up to 48 microphone inputs through Allen & Heath’s Everything I/O ecosystem of stage boxes and audio expanders. Additional flexibility is provided through support for Dante, Waves, MADI, and SLink networking cards via the integrated 64×64 option card slot.

Comprehensive processing includes high-pass filters, four-band parametric EQ, compressors, graphic EQ, automatic microphone mixing, and advanced DEEP Processing compatibility. Eight stereo FX engines with dedicated returns provide access to the RackExtra effects library, offering professional reverbs, delays, modulation effects, and dynamic processors.

Integrated USB recording capabilities, a 32×32 USB audio interface, and SQ-Drive functionality enable efficient multitrack recording, playback, streaming, and virtual soundcheck workflows. Built with a rugged all-metal chassis and flexible mounting options, the SQ-Rack delivers professional performance for demanding audio environments.
