Description
BSS Soundweb OMNI 32e open architecture digital signal processor
The BSS Soundweb OMNI 32e is a compact entry point into the Soundweb OMNI open architecture digital signal processing platform, built to bring the same modern control philosophy found in the larger 256p and 512p models to small and mid-sized installations. It provides 32×32 Dante/AES67 networked audio channels, giving system designers dependable, standards-based audio distribution for corporate, education, hospitality, and retail environments.
Like the rest of the Soundweb OMNI family, the processor includes an onboard MUSE scripting engine capable of running scripts written in JavaScript, Python, or Groovy, along with native Node-RED support through MUSE Automator for low-code automation tasks. MUSE also enables protocol translation for backward compatibility with earlier-generation Soundweb Contrio wall controllers, Soundweb London processors, and Crown DCi amplifiers, allowing gradual system upgrades without discarding existing hardware investments.
Flexible GPIO ports allow each channel to be configured as an analog or digital, input or output connection, supporting contact closures, volume controls, and status indication for rooms and zones throughout a facility. Dedicated AEC processing and VoIP line support give the unit built-in conferencing capability, useful for huddle rooms, meeting spaces, and small-to-mid-sized boardrooms without the need for separate conferencing hardware.
Configuration, control, and monitoring are performed through the AVX Software Suite, using AVX Architect for system design and AVX Control for day-to-day operation across Windows, iOS, macOS, and Android devices. Support for centralized or distributed DSP topology allows multiple OMNI processors to be combined within a single project file as a facility’s audio requirements grow.
