The Soundweb London BLU-BOB2, or break-out box, offers 8 channels of analog audio output expansion via the Soundweb London high-bandwidth, fault-tolerant digital audio bus. It gives system integrators a straightforward way to add analog outputs at a remote point in an installation without requiring a full additional signal processor chassis.

Output channel assignment on the BLU-BOB2 is configured through six rear-panel DIP switches, which select consecutive channel banks in groups of eight from the 256 channels available on the digital audio bus. The BLU-BOB2 is not configured through HiQnet Audio Architect, which keeps commissioning simple for installations where a dedicated output expansion point is all that is required.

The 8 analog line-level outputs use the same terminal block connectors found across the rest of the Soundweb London family, ensuring consistent wiring practices on site. Front panel LED indicators clearly display signal present and power status, giving installers immediate confirmation of correct operation without needing a connected PC.

The BLU-BOB2 is housed in a 19-inch single rack space chassis and is powered by an included 12VDC adapter. It features a low-latency, fault-tolerant 256-channel digital audio bus over standard Category 5e cabling, extendable beyond 10 kilometers using the BSS Audio MC-1 fiber optic media converter with single mode fiber, and integrates seamlessly with the wider Soundweb London product family.
