The Ecler BIO-X8 is an affordable expansion interface that can easily scale up an EclerPLEX digital host matrix, adding to its default size 8 input and 8 output analogue audio ports.

Connection to the host VIVO unit is made via X-link, using a 1 meter Ecler certified X-link cable included with the unit. Each of the 8 MIC/LINE analogue audio inputs offers +48V phantom power selectable per port, giving flexibility to connect condenser microphones or line-level sources as needed.

This audio-only expansion is well suited to projects that need additional analogue capacity without requiring extra GPIO control ports, keeping cost down for straightforward matrix expansion.

A maximum of 2 BIO-X8 units can be connected to a single VIVO host unit, using its 2 X-link expansion ports, reaching an expanded total matrix size that lets a project’s I/O capacity grow well beyond the host unit’s default configuration.
