Audinate Dante AVIO 2×2 AES3 I/O Adapter
The Audinate Dante AVIO AES3 I/O Adapter provides a two-channel input and two-channel output bridge between AES3 digital audio equipment and a Dante network. It is designed for amplifiers, loudspeakers, DSP processors, mixing systems, video equipment, and other AES3-compatible devices that need to become part of a networked Dante audio environment without replacing their existing digital interfaces.
The adapter supports two-way AES3 audio and includes asynchronous sample-rate conversion, allowing digital sources and destinations operating at different supported rates to be integrated more easily. Audio is supported at 44.1, 48, and 96 kHz with 24-bit resolution. The interface also provides high signal-to-noise performance, with a specified SNR above 135 dB, helping maintain clean digital signal transport.
Network connectivity is provided through RJ45, while the AES3 connections use XLR-M and XLR-F connectors. The adapter operates from Class 1 802.3af Power over Ethernet and supports Dante Audio over IP and AES67 RTP transport. Dante device latency can be configured to 1, 2, or 5 ms through Dante Controller, providing flexibility for different system architectures.
The compact AVIO format makes the AES3 adapter useful for professional audio installations, live production, broadcast, video systems, and distributed sound applications.
