The Allen & Heath AR84 is a compact remote AudioRack designed to expand input and output capabilities for Allen & Heath Qu, SQ, and Avantis digital mixers, as well as AHM audio matrix processors. Engineered for flexible audio system deployment, the AR84 provides professional-grade remote connectivity while maintaining simple installation and reliable operation across a wide range of live sound and installed audio environments.
The unit features eight XLR mic/line inputs equipped with high-performance microphone preamps that offer up to +60 dB of gain. Each input includes a -20 dB pad, allowing the system to accommodate both microphone and higher-level line sources with excellent signal integrity. Four balanced XLR line outputs provide dependable audio distribution for stage monitoring, zone feeds, or other routing requirements. Relay-protected output circuits help ensure reliable performance in professional applications.
Designed for remote deployment, the AR84 can be positioned up to 100 meters from the connected mixer or processor using a single Cat5 cable connection. This allows users to place audio connections exactly where they are needed, reducing cable runs and simplifying system setup in live venues, houses of worship, educational facilities, conference spaces, and installed sound environments.
The AR84 is engineered for true plug-and-play operation, requiring no manual network configuration or IP addressing.
