Description
BSS Soundweb London BLU-101 12×8 signal processor with BLU link (EU)
The Soundweb London BLU-101 offers a fixed configuration of 12 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs, combined with configurable signal processing and BSS’s high-bandwidth, fault-tolerant digital audio bus. The BLU-101 has an open architecture that is fully configurable through HiQnet Audio Architect, using a rich palette of processing and logic objects arranged through a familiar drag-and-drop design environment.
The BLU-101 contains dedicated Acoustic Echo Cancellation processing for up to 12 independent AEC algorithms, which can be applied to signals arriving from the local analog inputs or from the wider digital audio bus. Individual AEC references allow the unit to serve multiple conferencing spaces from a single device. Automatic Gain Control and Noise Cancellation are also provided per AEC algorithm, keeping microphone levels consistent and removing steady state background noise such as HVAC or projector fan hum from the conferencing signal path.
Analog inputs provide software-configurable gain in 6 dB steps up to +48 dB per channel, along with software-selectable phantom power per channel. Phantom power, signal present, and clip information for every channel is available directly from clear front-panel LED indicators, without needing a PC connected. A bi-directional locate function allows devices to be identified both from and within HiQnet Audio Architect during commissioning.
The BLU-101 features a low-latency, fault-tolerant 48-channel digital audio bus over standard Category 5e cabling, representing channels 1-48 of the larger 256-channel BLU link bus when integrated with chassis such as the BLU-800, BLU-320, BLU-160, and BLU-120. 12 Control Inputs and 6 Logic Outputs allow the BLU-101 to be integrated with GPIO-compatible third-party control systems, and the Soundweb London Interface Kit documentation is included with the HiQnet Audio Architect installation.
