The BSS Soundweb OMNI 512p Open Architecture Digital Signal Processor is the most powerful processor ever developed by BSS, engineered to support today’s most complex installed applications and the evolving needs of tomorrow. It provides 512×512 Dante/AES67 networked audio channels at up to 96 kHz, giving system designers exceptional routing capacity for the largest venues, hospitality projects, and enterprise deployments.

An onboard MUSE scripting engine allows the 512p to simultaneously process a virtually unlimited number of scripts written in JavaScript, Python, or Groovy, and it natively supports low-code, Node-RED style development through MUSE Automator. MUSE also handles protocol translation, giving the 512p backward compatibility with earlier-generation Soundweb Contrio wall controllers, Soundweb London processors, and Crown DCi amplifiers within a single unified control environment.

The processor includes 8 fully flexible GPIO ports that can each be configured as analog or digital, input or output, supporting up to 160 AEC channels and 64 VoIP lines for seamless integration with building phone systems for paging, announcements, and conferencing applications. An internal 128 channel media player with 1TB SSD storage enables playback of pre-recorded audio directly from the unit, useful for background music, chimes, and scheduled announcements.

Configuration, control, and monitoring are handled through the AVX Software Suite, which includes AVX Architect for system diagramming and device configuration, and AVX Control for day-to-day interface access across Windows, iOS, macOS, Android, and AMX Varia touch panels. Dual redundant power supplies, high precision word clock with BNC clock in/out, and enterprise-grade network security support make the 512p suitable for mission-critical installations in stadiums, arenas, hotels, casinos, and large corporate and government facilities.
