The JBL AC18 is a compact, high-output 2-way loudspeaker engineered for professional fixed-installation applications. Manufactured in Mexico, it is part of JBL’s AE Compact family within the AE Series, offering a combination of sonic clarity, precise coverage, and flexible installation in a space-efficient enclosure. The AC18 is specifically designed to meet the needs of system designers and performers seeking high-quality audio performance in venues of varying sizes.

This model features a 205 mm (8-inch) low-frequency transducer paired with a 1-inch exit compression driver, delivering accurate midrange response and detailed high-frequency reproduction. The PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide with rotatable horn provides a choice of 120° x 60° coverage, ensuring consistent sound dispersion and even frequency response across the listening area. FIR tuning optimizes frequency and phase response, enhancing coverage consistency and overall sound quality. The passive crossover design supports easy integration into professional audio systems.

The enclosure is built from 12 mm and 15 mm exterior-grade multi-ply hardwood plywood, offering durability and long-term structural reliability. The black finish provides a professional, unobtrusive appearance suitable for a variety of environments. Connectivity is supported through dual Neutrik NL4 connectors and screw terminals for secure and versatile wiring.

The AC18 handles up to 500 W program power, providing reliable output for demanding audio applications. Multiple attachment points allow mounting with optional U-brackets, third-party OmniMount® brackets, or stand mount accessories, providing installation flexibility for walls, ceilings, or floor stands.
