JBL AM5212/64 in black finish is a lightweight yet robust two-way full-range loudspeaker system engineered for venues that demand clarity, control, and installation versatility. As part of JBL’s AE Application Engineered Series, it is designed to integrate seamlessly into scalable sound systems for a wide range of professional applications.
The system features a 300 mm (12-inch) JBL 262H-1 Differential Drive low-frequency transducer with a 50.8 mm (2-inch) dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap design. This advanced driver technology delivers high output with reduced power compression and improved thermal efficiency. High frequencies are handled by a JBL 2408H-1 compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5-inch) exit and voice coil, providing detailed and articulate high-frequency reproduction.
A large-format Progressive Transition waveguide ensures consistent coverage and smooth frequency response. The rotatable design allows the loudspeaker to be used in either vertical or horizontal orientation while maintaining accurate pattern control. High-slope crossover networks minimize band overlap and improve off-axis response, enhancing array performance and coverage uniformity.
The enclosure is constructed from 16 mm exterior-grade multi-ply birch plywood and finished in a durable black coating suitable for permanent installations. Multiple M10 threaded suspension points provide extensive rigging flexibility, allowing the AM5212/64 to be flown, wall-mounted, or integrated into complex sound system designs. The system supports both bi-amplified and passive operation, offering configuration flexibility to meet varying system requirements.
