The JBL AC18 is a compact, high-output 2-way loudspeaker designed for professional fixed-installation applications. Manufactured in Mexico, it is part of JBL’s AE Compact family within the AE Series, combining high-fidelity performance with flexible installation options in a space-efficient enclosure. The AC18 is engineered to provide accurate, reliable sound for system designers and performers in venues of varying sizes.

The loudspeaker features a 205 mm (8-inch) low-frequency transducer paired with a 1-inch exit compression driver, delivering detailed midrange and crisp high-frequency response. Its PT™ Progressive Transition waveguide with rotatable horn provides a 90° x 50° coverage pattern, ensuring consistent sound dispersion and uniform frequency response across the listening area. FIR tuning enhances frequency and phase response, delivering consistent coverage and optimized sound quality. The passive crossover allows simple integration into professional audio systems.

The enclosure is constructed from 12 mm and 15 mm exterior-grade multi-ply hardwood plywood, offering durability and structural stability. The black finish provides a professional, unobtrusive appearance suitable for various installation environments. Connectivity is provided via dual Neutrik NL4 connectors and screw terminals for secure and flexible system wiring.

The AC18 supports up to 500 W program power, enabling reliable output for demanding applications. Multiple attachment points allow mounting using optional U-brackets, third-party OmniMount® brackets, or stand mount accessories, supporting wall, ceiling, or floor installations.

The AC18 is ideal for performing arts facilities, theatrical sound design, auditoriums, houses of worship, live and dance clubs, sports venues, and themed entertainment spaces requiring compact, high-quality, and consistent sound reinforcement.
