JBL AM5212/26 is a lightweight, medium-power, two-way full-range loudspeaker system designed for applications requiring broad horizontal dispersion and consistent tonal balance. Finished in white for architectural integration, this model is manufactured with origin of country mexico and forms part of JBL’s AE Application Engineered Series for fixed installation use.
The system is built around a 300 mm (12-inch) JBL 262H-1 Differential Drive low-frequency transducer featuring a dual voice coil and dual magnetic gap design. This configuration improves efficiency, power handling, and thermal performance while reducing overall system weight. High-frequency reproduction is handled by a JBL 2408H-1 compression driver with a 38 mm (1.5-inch) exit and voice coil, delivering detailed and controlled high-frequency output.
A large-format Progressive Transition waveguide provides a 120° x 60° coverage pattern and is rotatable, allowing the loudspeaker to be deployed in either vertical or horizontal orientation. High-slope passive crossover networks reduce band overlap and improve phase response, resulting in smooth off-axis performance and improved arrayability.
The trapezoidal enclosure is constructed from exterior-grade multi-ply birch plywood for durability and acoustic stability. Multiple M10 threaded suspension points allow flexible mounting options, making the AM5212/26 suitable for theaters, auditoriums, houses of worship, sports facilities, and themed entertainment venues.
