As a straightforward video-only routing solution, it fits between a presentation switcher and a display where a simple, dedicated HDMI selector with strong HDR support is needed.

The switcher includes audio de-embedding features alongside audio EDID management, letting audio from the active HDMI source be extracted for a separate sound system while ensuring compatible audio formats are correctly negotiated between sources and the connected display. This attention to EDID handling reduces compatibility issues common in mixed-source HDMI installations.

Source selection can be automatic through sense detection, or manual using the front panel, an included remote control, or serial RS-232 commands, giving installers a choice of control methods to suit the venue. Front-mounted LEDs indicate the currently selected source and unit settings, giving a quick visual reference for the active input.

Compliant with the HDMI 2.0a standard, the VEO-SWH44 supports video resolutions up to 4Kx2K (4096×2160 @60Hz YUV 4:4:4) along with all HDMI 3D video formats, making it a capable, focused switcher for demanding video installations in corporate, education and hospitality environments.
