The Soundcraft Ui-16 is a rack-mount digital mixing console designed to be controlled wirelessly from a tablet, smartphone, or computer rather than through onboard physical faders. With integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet, the Ui-16 lets the engineer move freely around a venue while mixing, making it well suited to bands, houses of worship, small theaters, and corporate events that need professional control without a bulky console.

The console offers eight combo XLR/TRS mic/line inputs, four dedicated XLR mic inputs, two Hi-Z instrument inputs, and a stereo RCA line input, giving it enough onboard connectivity for a full band or presentation setup. Each channel includes a 4-band parametric EQ, high-pass filter, compressor, de-esser, and noise gate, with fully recallable and remote-controlled mic gain and phantom power.

Built-in HARMAN processing brings Lexicon reverb, delay, and chorus effects, dbx AFS2 feedback suppression, and DigiTech amp modelling to every show. All outputs feature a 31-band graphic EQ, gate, and compressor, complemented by a real-time frequency analyser on inputs and outputs to quickly spot and correct problem frequencies.

Four balanced XLR aux outputs, two headphone outputs with level control, and balanced stereo main outputs round out the connectivity, alongside a 2-channel USB media player for background music or recording. The Ui-16 supports up to ten simultaneous control devices across major platforms, along with subgroups, mute groups, view groups, and full show/snapshot recall, making it a compact and capable digital mixing solution for a wide range of live sound and installed applications.
